The Challenge
Design a cohesive UI/UX system that enhances gameplay while being intuitive, responsive, and aesthetically aligned with the game’s Norse mythology theme.
The Goal
Create a complete design ecosystem encompassing the HUD, menus, store, progression interfaces, and more to provide a seamless user experience for an online multiplayer audience.
My Role and Responsibilities
As the Senior UI/UX Designer, I drove the design process for the entire game interface, from concept to high fidelity mocks. I worked closely with developers, artists, and stakeholders to build a visually striking and highly functional game UI.
Research
Conducted player interviews to understand expectations for Horde games.
Analyzed competitor game UIs to pinpoint successful and unsuccessful design elements.
Researched Norse mythology and aesthetics to ensure thematic alignment.




Ideation
Developed low-fidelity wireframes for the HUD, customization interface, and menus.
Brainstormed layouts that balanced functionality with immersive visuals.
Design
Delivered high-fidelity designs for the HUD, Menus, UX Flows.
Built prototypes for Battle Pass and customization management to streamline the user journey.
Implemented accessible design principles, including color-blind friendly palettes and following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for contrast levels.
Testing & Iteration
Conducted usability testing with in-house and beta testers.
Improved the store UI experience by implementing a better filtering and browsing system. This resulted in a 25% increase in conversion rate for product purchases.
